I lead an Elective on the Information Experience Design MA programme at the Royal College of Art called Pattern Recognition.
This class focuses on the effects of AI and Machine Learning on human experience. Students are given a critical introduction to AI technology, with practical sessions in creating and experimenting with AI systems.
The briefs in the class focus students on developing critical and creative responses to specific issues that stem from the interaction between humans and AI systems.
We take a critical design approach to the outcomes, generating work which combines creative applications of technology with provocations which stimulate discussion and awareness.
